Questions before you connect a channel

Which channels does ChatResponder support?
Instagram DMs and comments, Facebook Messenger, SMS via Twilio, Telegram, and an embeddable website chat widget. Every channel lands in the same inbox and can run the same visual flows.
Do I need Meta App Review to try it?
No. Web chat works immediately. Instagram and Messenger work in development mode for people with a role on your Meta app. App Review Advanced Access is required before customers who are not testers can connect their Pages.
What is the 24-hour messaging window?
Meta only lets you message someone within 24 hours of their last message, unless the send genuinely fits a message tag. ChatResponder enforces that on every outbound message — flows, broadcasts, sequences, and API or MCP sends. People outside the window are skipped, not failed. Marketing tags are never applied by default.
What happens after the 14-day trial?
New workspaces get Pro features for 14 days with no card required. After that they drop to Free (50 contacts, 1 channel) unless you subscribe to Pro or Business.
Can I take over from the bot?
Yes. Open Live Chat, click Take over, and reply as yourself. The flow pauses for that conversation. You can hand it back when you are done.
Can an AI agent operate my workspace?
Yes. Settings → API keys creates a scoped bearer key for the REST API or the MCP server. Sending goes through the same rules as the dashboard — including the 24-hour window. An API key is never treated as Meta’s human agent.
